In short Pino is an offline maps and navigation app. On Android, you download a region once, then search, plan routes and navigate entirely offline.

What Pino does on Android

  • Downloadable map regions

Save countries or regions to your phone. Sizes are shown before every download.

  • Offline place search

Find streets, addresses and points of interest inside downloaded regions without a connection.

  • Offline routes

Routes are calculated on the device from downloaded map data — planning works anywhere.

  • Turn-by-turn navigation

Follow clear directions using GPS, which needs no internet or mobile signal.

  • Favorites and collections

Save places you care about — cafés, hotels, camping spots — and organize them into collections.

Pino on your phone and your watch

Pino also runs on Wear OS — and not as a remote screen for the phone. The watch app is standalone: it stores its own maps and calculates its own routes, so you can navigate from the watch even when the phone stays at home. If you use both, the phone is great for planning and the watch for glanceable guidance on the move. See Pino for Wear OS and phone vs watch offline navigation.

Android requirements

Exact minimum Android version and device requirements are listed on the Google Play store page. Storage needs depend on which regions you download — download sizes are always shown in advance.

Android questions

Can I use Pino on Android?

Yes. Pino is available for Android phones and tablets, with offline map downloads, offline place search, offline route calculation and turn-by-turn navigation.

Does Pino work without internet?

Yes. After you download a map region, Pino works offline: map display, place search, route calculation and turn-by-turn navigation all run on your device without an internet connection. You only need internet to download or update map regions.

Does GPS work without internet?

Yes. GPS is independent of mobile data or Wi-Fi. Your device receives positioning signals directly from satellites, so Pino can show your location and navigate on downloaded maps even in airplane mode or in areas with no coverage.

Can I search for places offline?

Yes. Place search works on downloaded map regions without an internet connection, on Android and Wear OS.
