Offline Maps and Navigation for Wear OS
Pino lets you use downloaded maps and offline navigation directly on a compatible Wear OS watch — no nearby phone and no internet connection required after the map is downloaded.
In short Maps are stored on the watch. Search, route calculation and turn-by-turn navigation run on the watch. After a region is downloaded, Pino on Wear OS needs neither a phone nor an internet connection.

Does Pino require a phone on Wear OS?
No. Once a map region is on the watch, Pino operates standalone. These are two separate guarantees, and Pino makes both:
- Works offline — no internet connection is needed for maps, search, routing or navigation after the download.
- Works without a phone — nothing is delegated to a paired phone; storage, search, routing and GPS are all on the watch.

Do I need internet after downloading a map?
No. Internet is needed once, to download or update a region — over Wi-Fi or via the paired phone's connection. After that, everything runs locally. GPS positioning comes from satellites and needs no internet.
Storage and requirements
Watches have less storage than phones, so Pino shows each region's download size before you confirm, and you can remove regions at any time. The exact minimum Wear OS version is listed on the store page.

Yes. Pino runs standalone on compatible Wear OS watches: maps are stored on the watch, and place search, route calculation and turn-by-turn navigation run directly on the watch.
Does Wear OS navigation require a nearby phone?
No. Once a map region is downloaded to the watch, Pino does not require a nearby phone or an active internet connection to search, calculate routes or navigate on Wear OS.
